Woolwich Fire Department: Refreshment Vehicle Self-Inspection Checklist

As part of Mobile and Stationary Refreshment Vehicle applications, applicants are required to complete this Self-Inspection Checklist.

This self-inspection checklist contains excerpts from the Ontario Fire Code and does not imply or limit the responsibility of the owner or owner's representative to carry out all the provisions of the Ontario Fire Code. Questions regarding Fire Code requirements can be directed to Fire Services at 519-669-6022.

Please Note: The Township of Woolwich reserves the right to inspect Refreshment Vehicles without notice.

General

Ontario Regulation 213/07 Fire Protection and Prevention Act, 1997 Fire Code Division B Part 2 & Part 6

1. All documents have the name of the business, name of the owner of the unit, and the name of the operator of the vehicle, and are in your possession.
 
2. Contact phone number(s) and email address(es), if you need to be contacted for any matter relating to fire safety, are readily available.
 
5. The appliance serial number is in a visible location and legible for inspectors.
 
6. The appliance manufacturer name is clearly visible and legible for inspectors.
 
7(a). Extinguisher has been serviced in the past 12 months by a portable extinguisher company
 
8(a). Extinguisher has been serviced in the past 12 months by a portable extinguisher company
 
11. Cooking appliances have been cleaned and are free of grease build-up or food remnants
